There were two general aims for this project: to design a garden space for all in the community to enjoy and to implement practical solutions for greater useability of the space.
A proper entrance was designed for the Community Centre, welcoming people to the new community space. Parking solutions were also implemented and traffic flow was managed, allowing people of the community to feel more comfortable and safe in their shared space.
The implementation of a playground was a priority for the community. This playground design provides all the essentials, climbing frames, slides and swings. Beautiful planting surrounds the playground, encouraging the children to explore and enjoy natures’ wonders. There is room for the children to roam in and around the shrubs, which provide endless opportunities for play.
A more formal garden is also designed to cater for the older people. A meeting space is created for people of the community to come and enjoy each other’s company, whilst also enjoying the beauty of the garden space.
