This design has created a multifaceted space, combining the best elements of outdoor living: cooking, dining and relaxing. An intimate living area has been designed, providing a nice sense of enclosure without shutting it off from the rest of the garden. Espalier trees have been used to bookend the space, adding to that sense of enclosure, while retaining an open feeling to the wider lawn. The outdoor kitchen is surrounded by a pergola, screening it from the driveway, offering privacy. It looks onto the main focal flower bed, providing the perfect setting for both cooking and dining.
A tranquil tone is set by the focal water feature. Warm earthen materials, such as brick, corten steel and wood are used throughout the design in sleek forms, creating a sense of repetition, enhancing the calm feel of the environment.
A simple colour palette of greens and whites has been chosen furthering that feeling of serenity. Varying textures and movement are used to create interest.
